Pavlina Ivanova is a second year Italian, Spanish and Music student. She has always been interested in classical singing and aspires to pursue this as a career in the future.
Prior to coming to St Andrews, Pavlina gained extensive experience on stages in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth through the Junior Conservatoire of Scotland as a member of the Chamber and Senior Choirs. During her first academic year, she had the opportunity to perform with the Gilbert and Sullivan Society and as a soloist in St Leonard’s Chapel Choir and in the Italian Opera concert organised by the Chamber Opera Group.
Past vocal accomplishments have included the role of Maria Bertram in Byre Opera’s production of Mansfield Park by Jonathan Dove and as Belinda in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas.
In a recent choral concert in St Andrews, given by the St Andrews Chorus, Pavilna was a soloist in Vivaldi’s Gloria and a Bach’s Magnificat.
